The kit consists of the following parts:

14 blank 3D printed parts

Aluminum pipe Ø 1mm

Aluminum pipe Ø 2mm

Brass nails Ø 0.9mm

Steel nails Ø 0.6mm

Flexible hydraulic hose Ø0.5mm

Chain

Hydraulic couplings "man"

Hydraulic hose blocks

Hydraulic bends 0.5mm

Iron wire Ø 0.2mm

4 Vicon Waterslide decals

Sand smooth all printing imperfections with a file or sanding pad.

Cut the cylinders to size using the supplied aluminium pipe. The lifting cylinder must be 32mm long. The hook cylinder is 16mm long.

Drill a 0.6-0.7mm hole at the bottom of the thick tubes of the cylinders for the mounting pin.

Spray all parts in the desired color (we chose not to spray the rollers that the clamp rolls into the frame). The colors we used are: RAL 3002 (Vicon Red) for all red parts and RAL 1014 Vicon Beige for the cylinders. For the chain and hose rollers, we only used white primer; this is because those parts are so small that you don't want too much paint on them. (All these paint colors are also available from us.)

Once everything has been sprayed in the desired color, you can begin assembly. Start with the head where the rollers go: the wide roller in the middle and the two small ones on the sides. Thread a 0.6mm diameter nail through it, cut it off, and apply a small drop of glue to both sides so that the pin cannot come out but can still rotate in the bracket.

Slide the lifting cylinder, including the extending tube, into the frame and secure it at the bottom with a 0.6mm diameter nail.

Slide the cylinder out a little, hold it with tweezers or small pliers, and glue the roller head onto it.

Now mount the hook and cylinder in the up-and-down moving frame; use the Ø0.6mm nails for this again.

Install the rollers in the up-and-down moving frame using Ø0.9mm nails from the inside out, cutting them off so that the nail heads fit into the rollers, preventing them from ever falling out and ensuring the rollers keep rolling.

Slide the frame into the mast and cut the chains and hoses to length. Secure the chain with the thin Ø0.2mm iron wire.

(Tip) Cut off the front part of 1 Hydro male coupling (which normally goes into the female coupling) and then glue it with the cut side into the groove underneath behind the lifting cylinder; this way you can connect the hose to the front.

Cut out the decals, hold them in a bowl of lukewarm water to loosen the paper from the sticker, and then use tweezers to stick the stickers in the desired spot. Go over them with a wet cotton swab to slide it into the correct position, and the clamp is ready!
